Heartfelt Moments:

Educators are like gardeners.  They tend small and delicate flowers.  Some flowers bloom in any environment, while others need special care and others need a firm structure upon which to stand on.  (Pattou, E., 2001)

You were born with wings.  Why prefer to crawl through life? ~ Rumi

Educators are like gardeners.  They tend small and delicate flowers.  Some flowers bloom in any environment, while others need special care and others need a firm structure upon which to stand on.  In my first year of teaching a delicate flower entered my classroom.  It was evident that he was bright.  With the right amount of care, he began to bloom!  He began reading and by the end of the school year he was reading on a third grade level.  Today he attends a language academy where he receives instruction in two languages.  His story is a testament that all children can and will achieve.
